News Highlights

  • Classic Legends is reviving the Yezdi brand
  • The suspension, brakes and chassis will be shared with Jawa bike
  • Both the bikes will use the same engine as Jawa Perak

Classic Legends has officially announced the premiere of Yezdi Roadking and Yezdi Adventure on January 13, 2022 in India. The Roadking will be a Scrambler model while the Adventure motorcycle will resemble the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The company has been testing the duo for more than a year and they have been frequently spotted during the test runs with camouflage. Both the new bikes will share chassis, panels and engine with the Jawa bikes which were re-launched by the brand nearly four years back in 2018 in the Indian market.

Starting with Yezdi Adventure, it will flaunt a circular headlamp unit upfront. Other features will include a tall windscreen, digital instrument cluster, wire-spoke wheels, split seat setup and round rear view mirrors. On the other hand, Yezdi Roadking, staying true to its Scrambler-ish character, will come with a single piece seat, knuckle guards, blacked-out side panels and a chrome exhaust. It is expected to get a small LED headlamp. Both the bikes are expected to sit on a new architecture made out of Jawa bikes with load-bearing rear subframe. Yezdi Roadking will directly rival Honda CB350 RS and the soon-to-be-launched Royal Enfield Hunter 350 while Yezdi Adventure will compete against Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Both the Roadking and Adventure models will carry telescopic forks as front suspension while there will be a monoshock unit at the rear. The braking duties will be helmed by disc units at both front and rear alongside a dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard safety features. Mechanically, they will be powered by the 334cc single-cylinder petrol engine which we have already seen with Jawa Perak. The power output and torque delivery are expected to remain the same at 30 bhp and 32.7 Nm, respectively. The engine will be linked to a 6-speed transmission while it is being believed that the company might introduce a slipper and assist clutch with the bikes.
