Yamaha India has filed a trademark for the 'YZF-R9' moniker in the country. It has been learnt that the Japanese bike maker will finally launch this sports bike in the Indian market. Yamaha YZF R9 has not been revealed yet by the brand but this nameplate has also been trademarked in several global markets such as Europe and Australia. Just so you all know, the most recent Yamaha offering - the R15 V4 - also took design inspiration from the YZF R7. There will be a fully adjustable suspension system with the latest braking system at the helm. Insiders have shared that Yamaha YZF R9 would be a track-oriented machine with electronics sourced from the brand's MT-09 bike.
