The recent drop in CBU customs duties has led to the price cut.

The company has recently announced revised prices for its products thanks to a 25 percent drop in CBU custom duties. Two bikes from the company’s line-up are brought here as CBUs. The YZF-R1 and MT-09 now costs Rs 18.1 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh, which means they are cheaper now by Rs 2.6 lakh and Rs 1.3 lakh, respectively (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

The YZF-R1 is an all-out supersport bike and is the company’s flagship. It is powered by a 998cc, cross-plane, flat, four-cylinder, four-valve engine, which puts out a whopping 200hp and 112.4Nm of torque. The bike is sold in two colours - Yamaha Blue and Tech Black.

The MT-09 is a mid-capacity sport-naked motorcycle. It features aggressive styling and riding dynamics and is powered by a 847cc, three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine that puts out 115hp and 87.5Nm. You can get it in three colours – Yamaha Blue, Tech Black and Night Fluo.
