Yadvinder Singh Guleria has stepped down from the position of Director - Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India. He has been a part of the company since its inception and contributed to many critical functions for more than two decades. Guleria was elevated to the Board of Directors in the year 2020 and was responsible for Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, Brand & Communication along with the new vertical of Premium Motorcycle Business. Mr. Guleria will continue his services till the month of June 2022.
Mr. Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President and CEO, HMSI said “Yadvinder Singh Guleria has been a part of HMSI ever since its inception and has made invaluable contributions in expanding and accelerating our business while leading several critical functions in the company. He has cited personal reasons for his decision, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.” It has been learnt from reliable sources that Pradeep Pandey, Senior Vice President - Customer Services, has also resigned from his position. There have been multiple key exits in the last few months at Honda 2-Wheelers India which includes Shekhar MC, General Manager - Vehicle Logistics, who moved to Ola Electric Mobility in February.
In May 2020, Honda had carried out several changes in its senior leadership team which included elevation of Yadvinder Singh Guleria and Vinay Dhingra in the Board of Directors. Guleria steered the company during several challenges, predominantly during the outbreak of COVID-19 when sales and operations were disrupted as a result of nationwide lockdown in India. Before joining the Board of Directors, he was Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Honda. Guleria has been with the brand for more than two decades. In addition, he was also the Director of Polaris India Pvt Ltd for a brief period between 2011 and 2012. Honda has not announced the replacement for Guleria yet.
