Xiaomi Himo T1 Electric Moped has been priced at 2,999 Chinese Yuan (Around Rs 32,000).

We earlier told you that Xiaomi, fondly known for its affordable range of Smartphones in India, has ventured into electric vehicle space with the Himo Z16 foldable bicycle. Now, the company has rolled out the Himo T1 electric moped with a range of 120 kilometers in a single charge. It has been priced at 2,999 Chinese Yuan which roughly translates into Rs 32,000. Xiamoi has not categorically mentioned the name of countries in which it will launch this electric moped besides China, but we can expect it in the Indian market in a few months time, given the brand's huge popularity here.

 

Xiaomi Himo T1 is fairly small in size as it rides on 90 mm wide and 8 mm thick tyres. The company has equipped hydraulic disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The headlight is also quite attractive with a brightness level of 18,000cd and range of 15 meters and 5 meters on high-beam and low beam, respectively. Xiaomi has incorporated forks as front suspension and coilover as rear suspension. The top speed of Himo T1 is rated at 25kmph while it comes loaded with a slew of state-of-the-art features and technology.

Himo T1 draws power from a 350W electric magnet motor to deliver superior performance. The company has installed a 14 Ampere hour battery of 48V which returns a driving range of 60 kilometers. However, there is also a more powerful version of the electric moped available with a 28 Ampere hour battery which gives a range of 120 kilometers. The deliveries of Himo T1 will start from June 4 in the Chinese market. The small electric moped can be a really affordable option for Indians for daily commute within the city limits as it would be light on their pockets while it will also help in curbing the air pollution. Lets see when Xiaomi brings this innovative e-moped to the Indian shores.
