Kia Sonet finally made its world premiere in India. Being showcased as a concept at the 2020 Auto Expo in February, it is the second Kia car after the highly successful Seltos to be entirely 'made in India'. The Sonet was also presented in GT Line trim with the 1.0L turbo petrol and the 1.5L turbo diesel engines. It debuted a myriad of first-in-segment features in the subcompact SUV segment in the Indian market. It was learnt that Kia Sonet will be launched during the festive season around September-October 2020 in India. Kia Sonet price is expected to be in range of Rs 7-12 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Read More
Toyota India launched the Fortuner TRD limited edition at a starting price of Rs 34.98 Lakhs (Ex-showroom India, except Kerala) in the country. Specially designed by Toyota Racing Development (TRD) for India, it is available in two trims: 4x2 AT diesel and 4x4 AT diesel. The latter costs Rs 38.66 Lakhs. The limited edition SUV comes in dual-tone Pearl white color along with a dual-tone dashboard. Toyota Fortuner TRD Edition bookings are open across all the company authorized dealerships in India. Maruti Suzuki launched the 2020 S-Cross BS6 petrol at a starting price of Rs 8.39 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The crossover was introduced in four grades: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The bookings for Maruti S-Cross BS6 petrol had already commenced a couple of weeks back at initial payment of Rs 11,000 and now it has reached the dealerships as well to go on sale. Being Maruti's flagship product and first car to be sold via NEXA, it has been launched to commemorate the fifth anniversary of NEXA premium range of dealerships. The 2020 Maruti S-Cross BS6 petrol does not come with any cosmetic updates at the outside and the same design from the BS4 model is carried over while powered by the BS6 compliant 1.5L 4-cylinder K15 petrol engine with the next-generation Smart Hybrid technology. Mahindra & Mahindra will unveil the new-generation Thar on August 15, 2020. The automaker has planned to unveil it via a web telecast on its official website. All the details regarding the test drive, bookings, and deliveries will be revealed at a later date. However, if rumors are to be believed then many dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the SUV. KTM India launched the BS6 250 Duke at a sticker price of Rs 2.09 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The quarter litre motorcycle is now available with two new color themes – Dark Galvano and Silver Metallic. The 2020 KTM 250 Duke BS6 also gets several new features in the form of full LED headlamps with DRLs and dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode as standard. Ferrari F8 Tributo was launched in India at Rs 4.02 Crores (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The newly launched F8 Tributo will replace the 488 GTB in the company's line-up. It is powered by the most powerful V8 engine in the company's history. Ferrari unveiled the F8 Tributo supercar at the 2019 Geneva motor show and now it has finally made its way to the Indian market. The supercar many believe is going to the last non-hybrid V8 supercar to be produced. Ferrari F8 Tributo holds the tag of the fastest mid-engined series-production supercar from the Italian luxury carmaker. The Ferrari F8 Tributo is powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which belts out 710 bhp of maximum power and 770Nm of peak torque. BMW India silently reintroduced the 320d Sport at Rs 42.10 lakhs (ex-showroom). With the advent of BS6 emission norms, the company had earlier discontinued the variant. But now the entry-level variant of the 3 Series has been reintroduced at Rs 70,000 more than that of its BS4 counterpart. The current pricing makes the 320d Sport the second most affordable car in the BMW 3 Series line-up. The Sports trim is positioned below the Luxury Line variant.
