Volvo S90 Facelift in India

Volvo has unveiled the facelifted version of the S90 sedan with minor design tweaks and a host of other upgradations. The S90 facelift is likely to hit the Indian roads by mid 2021 while it will be launched in several global markets this year itself. Volvo also made an announcement that the S90 Facelift will be equipped with new 48-volt mild-hybrid engine option. The new sedan comes with polished exterior design and a premium new, state-of-the-art sound system by Bowers and Wilkins. The new sound system offers an even better in-car sound experience, thanks to an upgraded amplifier and automatic vehicle noise compensation.

Exterior sees a number of updates in form of new fog lights, a revamped spoiler design, and a new lower front bumper. Volvo has introduced a range of new exterior color options alongside a new alloy wheel design. The inclusion of advanced Air Cleaner with a PM 2.5 particle sensor for S90 Facelift allows the driver to monitor the air quality inside while it can clean the cabin air of almost all the tiny particles within a few minutes. The S90 Facelift comes with indicator-mounted ORVMs, LED fog lamps, and C-shaped LED taillights with sequential turn indicators. It also boasts of a pointed side profile with chrome highlights around the windows while the interior is leather-free. The facelifted sedan has an exclusively tailored wool-blend seats for the cabin while getting a digital instrument console, a touchscreen infotainment system and wireless charging.

The 2020 Volvo S90 facelift's hybrid system can help in 15 percent fuel savings and emission reductions. This is possible because the brake-by-wire system interacts with the energy recovery system and reduces fuel consumption and emissions by recovering kinetic energy under braking. The S90 facelift is expected to compete against the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6, and the BMW 5-Series.
