The German carmaker, Volkswagen has upgraded their lineup with more features and safety equipment. Volkswagen has launched the Connect Edition of Polo, Ameo and Vento.
These cars will be available in a new Lapiz Blue body colour. The Connect Edition models sit on 16-inch Portago Grey alloy wheels. The seats will be leather wrapped. The pedals on this edition will have aluminium finish. The glove box now gets light and there are USB charging ports at the rear. On the outside, the roof and side pillars will be glossy and the ORVMs will get black carbon finish. And the major feature is that it will come with a Connect dongle.
The Connect App is compatible with both Android and iOS. This app can track your trips, monitor your trip-wise fuel cost, it studies the driving behaviour of the driver, shares the last parked location, reminds about the regular service and in case of emergency can also do SOS calls. The Connect App gathers the data from the onboard diagnostics (OBD) port of the car. The driver can see all these pieces of information on his smartphone.
The Connect Edition Vento comes equipped with dual front airbags and side airbags too. Apart from the above, there are no other changes. The Polo and Ameo range start from Rs. 5.55 lakhs and Rs. 5.65 lakhs respectively, while the Vento variants are priced from Rs. 8.38 lakhs (ex-showroom).
