Volkswagen T-ROC Launching Tomorrow in India

The Volkswagen T-Roc that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, will be imported to India as a CBU unit.

Volkswagen is all set to launch its new compact SUV T-Roc on March 18, 2020. Competing against the likes of Jeep Compass, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and Tata Harrier, this compact SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 16 lakhs - Rs 20 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). This five-seater SUV will be imported to India via the CBU route. In dimensions, the compact SUV stands at 4234 mm length, 1819 mm width along with a wheelbase of 2590 mm. 


Built on the versatile MQB platform, the front fascia of Volkswagen T-Roc features a twin-slat grille flanked by LED headlamps with DRLs. The SUV boasts of a coupe-style dual-tone roof. It gets a 5-spoke silver alloy wheels with black plastic cladding around the wheel arches. The rear end gets wrapped around taillights with a dual-tone bumper. 


The cabin boasts of Vienna leather seats thus giving it a premium feel. Control the temperature inside with the automatic climate control system. Stay in sync with your SUV with App Connect that helps you to attach your Andriod or Apple device to the infotainment system with ease. T-Roc features a touchscreen infotainment system that allows you to make calls and view messages, all at the touch of a button. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, reverse parking camera, and keyless entry/start.


Safety is synonymous with the German automaker. As a result, the SUV comes packed with a host of safety features. These include 6 airbags, ABS (Anti-Braking System), ESC ( Electronic Stability Control), and a tyre pressure monitoring system. 

Under the skin, the Volkswagen T-Roc will come powered by a 1.5-litre TSI Evo Turbocharged, 4-cylinder petrol engine churning out 148 bhp of power output and 250 Nm torque. The 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission will be a standard offering with no 4Motion AWD system.
