The Apollo Tyres event was attended by Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar.

If Cricket is a Religion, Sachin is the God. This quote is nostalgic for every cricket lover in India who grew up on majestic cover drives or exquisite straight drives  of Sachin Tendulkar. He retired from cricket years ago but is still followed avidly by the billions of cricket lovers cutting across countries. Sir Donald Bradman saw himself in Sachin Tendulkar batting which is an illustration of the great man’s appeal worldwide. So, when Sachin arrives at any event or function, it draws attention immediately. An automobile event conducted by Apollo Tyres named  #BadRoadBuddies was graced by Sachin Tendulkar. The event saw a participation of over 40 plus automobile enthusiasts taking part in the journey from Goa to Dandeli (Karnataka). Off-road driving was the core part of the events with multiple SUVs taking part.

Apollo Tyres brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar dropped down for the event and ook part in some fun activities. In the video, you can quite clearly see Sachin Tendulkar enjoying the off-road drive in an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) and BMW X3. The terrain is a tough one from a technical standpoint and BMW X3 can’t adapt to the conditions instantly. If we even accept the fact BMW X3 is an SUV, the low slung style, low ground clearance and hard suspension system make it more suitable for the roads than the challenging off-roading terrains. Though, the AWD option is available in the BMW X3 which helps a lot in these tough conditions.

Sachin also drove Polaris RZR 1000 at the event. Polaris ATV is smaller and easier to drive off the road as compared to BMW X3. The Indian legend enjoyed driving slowly and not taking unnecessary risks. The event was one-of-its first kind in India and Apollo Tyres seeks to build a community of off-road drivers in India. An ambitious vision from Apollo Tyres as it possess the potential to establish a vibrant community of automobile enthusiasts in India.
