Hyundai Venue

Although Hyundai is late to enter the sub-4 meter SUV segment in India, the all-new Venue has grabbed headlines all around. The prices for Venue starts at Rs. 6.53 lakhs, a price that also undercuts some of its major rivals in the market. Hyundai Venue locks horns with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, and Ford Ecosport in the Indian market. Therefore, it is only natural that we bring a comparison of the following cars and the Hyundai Venue. Let’s take a look as to how the Hyundai Venue fares against Tata Nexon and the Ford EcoSport in the Indian market.

Dimensions

Starting with Venue, the waterfall grille at the front with chrome work on the grille lends a distinct identity to the South Korean maker’s SUV. The headlamps are placed below the turn indicators here, a design trend that is growing increasingly common in the industry. Sides reveal a different story as the design here looks Creta inspired but the lines on the body give the Venue a distinct identity for sure. Talking of the dimensions of the SUV, the Venue measures in at 3,995 mm long, 1,770 mm wide and 1,590 mm high. The wheelbase, on the other hand, is 2,500 mm.

Tata Nexon had a polarizing design when it was launched in the market and it has not changed since then. However, the design has also won some fans in the market and the sales of the SUV are an indicator of the same. As far as the dimensions of the Tata Nexon the SUV is 3994x1811x1607 mm long, wide, and high and has a wheelbase of 2498 mm. The ground clearance is 209 mm and is unbeatable in the segment.

Ford Ecosport’s design is fairly butch and this is one of the SUVs that got the segment going in India. The chrome work at the front and the height of the SUV sure wins it many fans in the market. The spare wheel position at the rear is also something that adds to the appeal of the SUV. The dimensions of the SUV stand at 3998x1765x1647 mm long, wide, and high.
