The second-gen Ertiga is longer and wider than the current car.

The India-bound Ertiga was officially unveiled at the 2018 Indonesian motor show in Jakarta. The car is
longer and wider but sits on the same wheelbase. There’s a new nose section, including slimmer
headlamps, new tail-lamps and a new D-pillar. The upcoming Ertiga is built on Suzuki’s Heartect platform
(which also underpins the Swift, Dzire, Ignis and Baleno), and it is lighter and stiffer than the outgoing
car. The cabin has a lot of bits from other cars in the stable - the instrument panel and flat-bottomed
steering are from the Swift. The car also comes with dual-tone beige and black dash houses vertically
aligned AC vents, and a new 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. You also get bits like cooled
cupholders. Bear in mind that these are features on the Indonesian-spec car and the version that comes
here may see variation in features. The car will most probably go on sale during Diwali.
