UM has launched the carburettor variants of Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S.

UM Lohia group has launched the carburettor variants of their Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S. The fuel injected variants of the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S were already on offer. The addition of carburettor is the only change and rest of the bikes remain unchanged. The Renegade Sport S is available in three paint colour options - Young Red, Black Silver and Young Orange. While the Renegade Commando is offered in Matte Moss Green, Burgundy Shine and Black Shine colour.

The suspension duties are done by 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and twin coil-spring suspension at the rear. Both the bikes sit on 16-inch and 15-inch wheels at the front and rear respectively. The fuel tank capacity on both the bikes is of 18 litres. There is 280 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum brake on the rear. However, there is no ABS on these bikes even as an option. The Renegade Commando weighs 179 kg and Renegade Sport S weighs 2 kg lighter than the sibling.

A 279.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled carburetted engine powers both the bikes. The carburetted engine produces 23.7 PS of power and 23 Nm of torque which is less when compared with the fuel-injected once. The fuel-injected engine produces 25.15 PS of power. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The carburettor model of Renegade Sport S is priced at Rs. 1.79 lakhs and Renegade Commando will cost you Rs 1.85 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
