TVS has recently undertaken major internal restructuring and the company has added a new department that will deal with premium category motorcycles and international business. The department will oversee current and future premium motorcycles from TVS, which includes the current Apache brand and the upcoming production version of the Akula concept.
The person in charge will be Arun Siddharth, who is now Vice President - Marketing, Premium Two Wheelers, International Business and TVS Racing for TVS Motor Company. He will define the brand’s strategy, product definition and management for the premium segment motorcycle business, and will continue to head TVS Racing initiatives.
The scooter segment will continue to be run by Aniruddha Haldar, as the Vice President (Marketing) Scooters, Commuter Motorcycles and Corporate Branding. He will also take over the commuter motorcycle segment that covers models like the Sport, Star City+ and Victor.
These developments show that the company is sure to release some exciting new products in the near future.
