The domestic two-wheeler manufacturer sees a dip in sales as compared to last year

India’s two-wheeler giant, TVS Motor Company has registered a linear growth of 27 percent in the month of July 2020 with a total sales of 2,52,744 units in comparison to 1,98,387 units that were sold in June 2020. Talking about July 2019, then the company managed to sell a total of 2.65 lakh units. In comparison to these sales numbers of July 2019, there has further been a decline of 8.23 percent this year.

When we talk about the motorcycle segment, then the company has managed to sell 1,06,062 units in July 2020 as compared to 1,08,210 units in July 2019. As far as the scooter segment is concerned then TVS saw a fall in the sales numbers this year in July. The company sold 78,603 units in July 2020 as against 1,05,199 units in July last year. 

The domestic two-wheeler sales performance of the company has also seen a dip in July this year. Where the company sold 2,08,489 units in July 2019, this year TVS managed to only sell 1,89,647 units for the same period. In terms of total exports, in the month of July last year, the brand registered sales of 69,994 units. While this year in July, the company registered sales of 62,389 units. Talking about the two-wheeler export, TVS managed to sell 54,141 units in July 2020. Last year in July, it had sold a substancial 57,190 units. In the three-wheeler space, the company sold 8956 units in July 2020 as against 13,786 units in July 2019.
