TVS plans to expand the iQube’s sales in 20 more cities in the near future

TVS Motor Company has launched iQube e-scooter in Pune at Rs 1.1 lakhs (ex-showroom). The e-scooter is available in select dealerships across Pune. The company had first launched iQube in Bengaluru last year followed by Delhi. It's only after a good sales report that TVS decided to introduce iQube in Pune. Moving on, the company also plans to launch it in at least 20 more cities by the end of FY2022. The bookings for the electric scooter can now be done at a token amount of Rs 5000. 

Cosmetically, TVS iQube features a conventional design with a mono LED headlamp. Furthermore, it gets a larger TFT screen with SmartXonnect Bluetooth feature. These include remote battery charge status, geo-fencing, last park location, incoming call alerts/SMS alerts, and navigation assist. Besides these, iQube also gets Q-Park Assist that helps in parking the scooter. Other feature highlights include day & night display, economy & power mode, and regenerative braking. The scooter is offered only in a white paint scheme.

Performance-wise, TVS iQube is powered by a 4.4 kW motor connected to 3 Li-ion battery packs. The electric motor generates 140 Nm peak torque. While the battery pack claims to offer a maximum range of 75 km on a single charge. The battery can be charged using a 5A domestic socket. Furthermore, the e-scooter can achieve a top speed of 78 kmph and can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 4.2 seconds. The electric scooter competes against the likes of Bajaj Chetak and Ather 450X
