TVS Motor Company is planning to enter the 125cc segment once again in the Indian market. After the discontinuation of TVS Phoenix 125 in 2017, the company did not have a model to bridge the gap between 110cc and 150cc segments. Furthermore, it had Fiero and Fiero 2 motorcycles in the 150cc segment almost two decades ago. The models were launched in the domestic market when TVS and Suzuki were working in collaboration with each other. Now it seems that the company is working on bringing back the same nameplate under the 125cc segment. Recently, there has been a buzz online that TVS has trademarked the name ‘Fiero 125’. The registration document regarding the same has been leaked online.
We can expect the TVS Fiero 125 to retain the same engine characteristics. The design bits such as all-LED lighting along with Bluetooth connectivity and GTT will also be retained. The upcoming TVS Fiero 125 will rival the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Honda SP 125 in the premium commuter segment. We can expect the new Fiero 125 to be launched in the Indian market anytime soon next year. The upcoming bike can be priced close to Rs 70000 in order to challenge the competitors effectively.
Recently, TVS launched the Ntorq 125 Super Squad Edition under the 125cc segment in the country. The Ntorq 125 Super Squad Edition is priced at Rs 77,865 (ex-showroom). Furthermore, it is India’s first Bluetooth connected scooter with RT-Fi technology. It is offered in a total of three color options namely Combat Blue, Invincible Red, and Stealth Black. The color schemes and body graphics on the scooter are inspired by Marvel superhero characters - Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Panther.
