When it comes to modifying motorcycles, Royal Enfields are without a doubt the first choice of most custom companies. In India as well as abroad, these motorcycles are preferred for modification because of their built quality and basic design. Not just this, Royal Enfield on its own also commissions modification of its various motorcycles and lines them up for exhibition. Just a few days ago, the company displayed a motorcycle named MJR Roach and claimed it is the first turbocharged Himalayan.

The motorcycle is extensively modified and the changes give an impression that this is the handiwork of a video game enthusiast. It looks completely unrecognizable from the stock form and is bound to attract a lot of eyes on the roads.

So, what all has been changed in the stock Royal Enfield Himalayan? What can be termed as the most prominent change is the single-sided swingarm. Yes, the machine now comes with a custom aluminum single-sided swingarm that feels more premium. Besides, the rear wheel of the motorcycle has been replaced with a giant wheel that adds to its muscular appearance. Going a step further, the modifiers have also changed the body panels on the bike.

The new swingarm rests on a monoshock that transforms the bike into a head-turner. As expected, a new custom seat has been provided to this mega machine and attached with the help of a few straps. Keeping the muscular quotient intact, a much aggressive headlamp has now been placed in front of the motorcycle. Instead of one, MJ Roach is equipped with four projector lamps fit into custom metal. The modification garage has also customized the handlebar and stock instrument cluster.

Now let's come to the biggest change in the motorcycle: Engine. What makes this modification a unique and standout project is a Garret Turbocharger that is attached to the naturally-aspirated Himalayan engine. We do not know the exact power-torque figures of this custom engine but it is definitely more powerful than the stock version.

This is without a doubt the most powerful Royal Enfield Himalayan in the country. If we talk about the stock motorcycle, it comes with 411-cc engine that produces 24.5 Bhp power and 32 Nm torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.

Other changes in the bike include an aftermarket Upside-Down fork that replaces the traditional telescopic fork. Though no changes have been made to the fuel tank, it now sports an “MJ Roach” logo.
