  • The bike features twin LED headlights & self-cancelling indicators
  • The all-new Tiger Sport 660 gets a multi-function instrument with a TFT display

Triumph Motorcycle has finally taken the wraps off the all-new Tiger Sport 660. The adventure tourer is based on Trident 660’s platform. The bike will be brought to India as a CKD unit. It will become the new entry point into Triumph’s Tiger range in the country. Having said this, we can expect the price of the bike to fall in the range of Rs 8.9-9.3 lakhs (ex-showroom). As for the India launch, we can expect that to happen around March-April 2022. Moreover, the price that we are expecting for the bike will significantly position it higher than the Versys 650 that costs Rs 7.15 lakh but below Tiger 850 Sport that is retailed at Rs 11.95 lakh.

Triumph Tiger Sport 660: Design & Color Options

Design-wise, the Tiger Sport 660 features twin LED headlights upfront. In addition, the bike gets a bigger fuel tank in comparison to the Trident. The side and rear profile of the bike look quite similar to Trident. But due to the bigger fairing, Tiger Sport 660 gets an aggressive and bold look. Talking about the color options, the bike will be available in a total of three shades namely Lucerne Blue and Sapphire Black, Korosi Red and Graphite, and a minimalist Graphite and Black option.

Triumph Tiger Sport 660: Features

In terms of features, the new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 gets a new digital display with a small colour TFT screen. Other feature highlights include dual-channel ABS, self-cancelling indicators, and switchable traction control. The bike further offers two riding modes - Road and Rain. Besides this, the brand will be offering around 40 homologated accessories including specially designed panniers and a large top box along with the bike.

Triumph Tiger Sport 660: Engine & Chassis

Performance-wise, the Tiger Sport 660 gets the 660cc 3-cylinder engine that does duty on the Trident. The unit churns out a top power of 80 bhp at 10250rpm and a peak torque of 64 Nm at 6250rpm. Triumph offers a 6-speed gearbox with an up/down quickshifter as an option on the Trident. However, Triumph says that there might be a slight difference in the overall tuning when it comes to Tiger Sport 660. Suspension duties are taken care of by a Showa non-adjustable 41mm USD fork upfront and a pre-load adjustable shock with a remote preload adjuster towards the rear end. Other chassis components include Nissin brakes, 17-inch wheels, and Michelin Road 5 tyres.
