TRIUMPH TIGER 900: READY TO ROAR ON INDIAN ROADS ON DECEMBER 3

Triumph Tiger 900

A few days back, triumph had released a short 6-sec video trailer of their new range - Triumph Tiger 900. The manufacturer announced that the new bikes would be unveiled on 3rd December 2019. The video shows only a pair of spotlights, a new DRL that is placed above the headlights. The new range will have two variants - Tiger 900 Rally & GT range. Thanks to the previously leaked spy images, there is quite a bit of information on the bike’s design. The bike is claimed to be sleeker than the Tiger 800 and has sharp edges on its bodywork. The Tiger 900 also gets a redesigned frame and a Showa sourced long-travel suspension.

As per the reports, the Tiger 900 would be powered by an 887cc, inline-3 cylinder engine that pumps out over 100bhp of power. These bikes are expected to have a Euro5 or BSVI compliant engines. The bike is expected to sport an updated full-color TFT screen along with a refreshed electronics suite. 

Further, Tiger 900 range would comprise of two variants that will be Tiger 900 Rally version and a long-distance touring variant called Tiger 900 GT.

The new Tiger 900 range would replace the old Tiger 800 models. Now the Tiger 900 range would sit below the Tiger 1200 variants in India as well as the international markets. We can expect the motorcycle to be seen on Indian roads by the latter half of the next year. The Triumph Tiger 900 models are expected to have a price tag in the range of Rs. 13 Lacs to Rs. 15 Lacs.

When launched the bike would compete against the Ducati Multistrada 950 and the BMW F850 GS and F750 GS.
