Triumph Rocket 3 GT price expected to be around Rs 18.50 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India).

In a big development, Triumph Motorcycles India has announced the launch date of Rocket 3 GT. The touring motorcycle will be launched officially on September 10, 2020 in the Indian market. Last year, the British motorcycle maker launched Rocket 3R in India so the expectations were always there for the Rocket 3GT launch. Finally, Indian buyers would be able to ride the touring-friendly GT bike. Currently, Triumph Rocket 3R price is Rs 18 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India) so we believe the GT model would be slightly premium-priced around Rs 18.50 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India). Rocket 3GT rival would be Ducati Diavel 1260 in India. In the International market, it comes in a dual-tone silver ice and storm grey colour scheme with Korosi Red pinstripe decal. So it would be happy news for the bike enthusiasts if the stunning colour scheme comes to India also.

So what makes the Rocket 3 GT different from 3R? The ride is more relaxing due to the forward-set footpegs and touring-friendly handlebar. The bike comes with a tall windscreen, heated grips, comfortable seats and pillion backrest. You can also adjust the pillion footrests which is a big relief in long rides. Other features would remain the same as the Rocket 3R. The touring bike comes with a twin LED headlamp setup, single-sided swingarms, cropped rear fender and slash-cut exhausts.

The biggest takeaway from the bike is that it comes with the largest engine in the production line-up so far. The Rocket 3GT is powered by a powerful 2500cc inline-three cylinder engine. The bike delivers 165 bhp of maximum power and 221 Nm of peak torque. There are 47mm Showa USD forks at the front and monoshock unit at the rear of the bike. Braking duties are taken care of by Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers at the front and rear. Other key highlights include the 4 riding modes, cornering ABS and traction control system. The bike manufacturer also threw in a Bluetooth-enable TFT dash with GoPro control.
