Triumph has taken the wraps off its two limited edition motorcycles - the Rocket 3 R Black and the Rocket 3 GT Triple Black. The Rocket 3 R is the street-oriented roadster, while the Rocket 3 GT is the cruiser version. Each of these bikes will be limited to 1000 units worldwide. Out of these, a few units will be designated for India. As for the price, we can expect the Rocket 3 R Black and GT Triple Black to cost a little more than their standard R and GT models which are retailed at Rs 18.50 Lakhs and Rs 18.90 Lakhs (all price, ex-showroom), respectively. Besides these, each motorcycle will come with a certificate of authenticity detailing the motorcycle-specific VIN number.

Design-wise, as the name suggests, the Rocket 3 Black Editions are dark versions of their standard counterparts. Talking about the Rocket 3 R Black, it gets a matte black look overall with gloss black stripes on the tank along with ‘Black’ branding. On the other hand, Triumph Rocket 3 GT Triple Black comes with a three-shade paint scheme. Both motorcycles get black exhaust headers, radiator cowl heat shields & end caps, and a powder-coated black intake cover. Furthermore, the Rocket 3 Black duo gets black painted headlight bezels, handlebar clamps, rider footrests, fly screen finishers, brake and clutch levers, and swingarm guard. The feature highlight is the carbon-fibre mudguard on both the R and the GT.

Performance-wise, the Rocket 3 Black Edition duo get a 2500cc triple engine that churns out a maximum power of 165 bhp at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 221 Nm at 4000 rpm. The Rocket 3 R Black and GT Triple Black sit on a lightweight aluminium frame with a new blacked-out rear frame forging. Suspension duties are taken care of by 47mm adjustable Showa forks with new black anodized fork lowers. It further gets top-spec Brembo Stylema monobloc brakes with floating discs. Optimized Cornering ABS and traction control come as standard. The bikes get four riding modes - Road, Rain, Sport, and Rider-configurable.
