Triumph reveals Speedmaster.

The bike is based on the Bobber platform and shares the same wheelbase. It is also fitted with the same hidden rear monoshock as the Bobber and features a twin-seat layout, but the rear seat and chrome grab rails can be removed if you don’t need them.

The Speedmaster is fitted with a full-LED headlamp, and overall levels of fit and finish are higher than the standard Bonnevilles. With 16-inch wheels on both ends, the Speedmaster uses the same wheel and tyre size as the new Bobber Black.

The Speedmaster is set low, but Triumph says it is no lower than the Bobber, you have to be a little careful while taking the bike over speedbreakers. The bike is powered by a 1,200cc parallel-twin motor, in the same tune as the Bobber. Maximum power is 77hp while torque is 106Nm. The company says this bike makes 10 percent more power and torque than the Bonneville T120 at 4,500rpm. At 245.5kg, the Speedmaster is 8kg heavier than the Bobber Black and is 21.5kg heavier than the Bonneville T120. There are two riding modes, and you get ABS, switchable traction control and even cruise control as standard.

There are three colours on offer - Jet Black, Cranberry Red and Fusion White/Phantom Black with twin-coach line. There are also two ‘Inspiration packs’ on sale or you could opt for the 'Highway'kit which adds a large, adjustable windscreen, leather panniers, comfort seats and a smattering of chrome trim. The Speedmaster will definitely make it here and it could go one sale early next year. Looking at the extra kit on offer, we expect it to be positioned higher than the standard Bobber’s price-tag of ₹9.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
