Toyota Kirloskar Motor is all set to hike the prices of its entire model range from April 1 onwards. The automaker will be increasing the price by up to 4 percent. The main aim behind this is the rising input cost including that of raw materials. The company is further making all conscious efforts to minimize the impact of rising costs on the consumers.
Currently, Toyota’s portfolio comprises the newly launched Glanza, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Urban Cruiser, Camry, and Vellfire. The brand has halted the bookings of Hilux in the country due to the overwhelming response. Besides that, Toyota is yet to announce the price of the car.
Recently, Toyota launched the cool new Glanza in the country. The hatchback falls in the price range of Rs 6.39 lakhs - Rs 9.69 lakhs (ex-showroom). With the price hike coming into action, the new model will be offered at the above-mentioned price range till April 1. The bookings of the vehicle have already commenced from March 9 onwards at a token amount of Rs 11,000. Furthermore, the 2022 Glanza gets two affordable variants - E & S beside the existing variants - G & V.
The cool new Glanza features Toyota’s signature styling and sportiness. The vehicle gets Toyota’s home-grown technology- Toyota i-Connect which can be enabled through a smartphone or a smartwatch. It also comes fully loaded with 45 plus features. Under the bonnet, the 2022 Glanza is powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, dual-VVT petrol. The motor churns out a top power of 88 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
