The seven-seater managed an overall score of 84.03/100.

ASEAN NCAP’s latest crash tests saw the all-new Toyota Rush SUV get a score of five stars. The Rush scored an overall 84.03 out of 100. The Rush is available with a whole host of safety tech, which includes six airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control, stability control and hill-start assist.

The car did well in adult occupancy protection, child occupancy protection and in safety assist systems. The Rush is sold abroad with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, the same unit that’s in the Yaris sedan (sold as the Vios in some markets).

This engine makes 105hp and 140Nm and is mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed, torque-converter automatic. Toyota may not bring the Rush to India though.
