Toyota Kirloskar Motors is believed to be working on the launch of Fortuner Legender in India for next year. It will be an updated version of the popular Fortuner. Thus, we can expect it to be a little more expensive. The top-end variant of Fortuner currently retails at Rs 34.43 lakhs (ex-showroom). The price of the Fortuner Legender is expected to start at around Rs 43 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Cosmetically, Fortuner Legender gets an aggressive look in comparison to the regular model. Upfront, it features a grille that is split in half with the Toyota logo on top. The huge air intake on the lower bumper gives a muscular and sharp look to the four-wheeler. In addition, it also features new sharp-looking white LED headlights with LED DRLs. Furthermore, the fog lamps are placed on either side of the bumper. While the LED turn indicators are placed on the lower part of the bumper. On the sides, the model caters to large 20-inch wheels instead of 18-inch as seen on the regular Toyota Fortuner. Towards the rear, the Legender gets a slightly redesigned bumper along with reflector lamps on them. There are also split LED tail lights.

Inside the cabin, the SUV will be equipped with a plethora of features. These include a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, multi-functional steering wheel, dual-tone seats, among others. The top-end variant will get additional equipment like a lane departure warning system, radar-guided cruise control, and a Hilux-like wheel orientation sensor for off-road driving.

Performance-wise, the upcoming SUV will be powered by an upgraded 2.8-litre diesel engine. The engine will be tuned to generate 204 bhp of power output with 500 Nm of peak torque.
