Maruti Suzuki dominates the chart with the first six positions while Hyundai occupies the remaining four. This comes as no surprise as Maruti Suzuki have always been at the top of the sales chart and they also had a few fantastic releases this year like the Swift. It is in fact the very car that sits at the top of the chart, with more than 22,000 units sold. The Dzire follows it, a close second.
The only Hyundai to cross the 10,000 unit barrier is the i20, whereas some Maruti Models have sold twice that. What is most surprising is that the Hyundai Santro which was just launched a month back has managed to secure the tenth position, selling almost 10,000 units. This table shows clearly India’s love and appreciation for Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai vehicles. There are very few differences when compared to the sales figures of October 2018.
The Maruti Celerio has been taken off the list and the Brezza has assumed its place. But the biggest change is that of the Tiago, which has been ousted from the 10th position. This is directly linked to the launch of the Hyundai Santro which has drawn a lot of customers away from the Tiago.
