Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP Updated With Features and Price Hike in India

The two performance-oriented cars from Indian maker Tata Motors -- the Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP -- have received an update in the market. The new update brings new features to the cars and also brings a price hike for the most affordable performance oriented cars in the Indian market. The revised pricing for the Tiago JTP now starts at Rs. 6.69 lakhs, while the same for Tigor JTP now starts at Rs. 7.59 lakhs. Both the cars get a price hike of about Rs. 30,000.

Talking about the features that the new updated version of these performance oriented get, the duo now comes with electrically foldable wing mirrors that will be finished in contrast shades, automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment console with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The Tigor JTP now will also come with a shark fin radio antenna. Apart from the feature upgrades, the maker has not made any other changes to their hot models in the market. As of now the maker seels these cars only from their select dealerships in the cities of Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Kangra, Kannur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Noida, Pune, Thane, and Thrissur.

The CEO of JSTV, Nagbhushan Gubbi spoke on the occasion of the launch of the updated version of these new hot cars and stated,

Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP created quite a buzz in the market when they were launched in India as they were the most affordable offering for the performance enthusiasts. The performance duo from Tata Motors come with a 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine rated to deliver 112 Bhp and 150 Nm. The transmission is handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox unit that has been tweaked to offer better low and mid-range power. Also, the suspension of the cars have been tweaked to offer better performance and handling during performance runs.
