The carmaker also registers its best-ever July sales numbers.

In July this year, Honda sold 10,180 units of the Amaze, which is also the highest recorded monthly sales for a Honda model in India, yet. The sedan contributed 51 percent to Honda’s July 2018 sales of 19,970 units. July also ended up being the best-selling month for the Japanese carmaker.

The petrol-manual in the mid-spec S trim accounts for a majority of the car's sales but combined (petrol and diesel), it’s the V and VX variants that are performing better. Demand for the automatic variant is also quite healthy. Honda’s July 2018 sales of 19,970 units are a growth of 17 per cent, against the 17,085 units sold in the same month, last year.

Honda launched the Amaze in May, this year, at an introductory price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
