The current ‘base’ variant does 0-100kph in 1.9sec and can hit speeds over 402kph.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that there will be faster versions of the current ‘base’ model of the Roadster.

The current (base) 2+2 sports car puts out 10,000Nm from its three motors and can hit speeds of over 402kph. Musk also said that the car’s 200kWh battery pack enables it to have a 1,000km range. The Upcoming Car will feature Tesla’s latest autonomous driving technology and will be updateable via over-the-air software; the performance, autonomous features and safety systems may be boosted even after you buy the car. The Roadster will go on sale internationally in 2020.
