Tesla has been making waves since its inclusion in the S&P 500 index. It is the leader in the fast-growing EV segment across the world. Now, the American electric manufacturer has updated the interior of Tesla Model S and Model X. The interiors get futuristic updates which up the premium quality of the vehicles.

The most striking highlight is the all-new steering wheel which is quite similar to the one observed in the Cybertruck prototype. Also, Tesla has hiked the entry-level Model S from $69,420 (Around Rs 51 Lakhs) to $79,990 (Around Rs 58 Lakhs). As we already know, Tesla Model 3 is launching in the Indian market by June 2021. Another important announcement is the new $119,990 Plaid performance version coming to the market in coming days. It might be the quickest car in production ever.




Speaking about the design updates, Tesla Motors has gone with a stalkless steering wheel. "The ultimate focus on driving: no stalks, no shifting. With a stalkless steering yoke, you can enjoy both the best car to drive, and the best car to be driven in," According to the Tesla Motors official configurator. The question of how the car shifts into gear would be on everyone lips. Elon Musk answered this question in a reply to a Twitter account. Musk said, “Car guesses drive direction based on what obstacles it sees, context & nav map. You can override on the touchscreen." There is a newly added vehicle icon in the top left corner of the centre display, it is where the drivers will be able to shift gears in the updated Model S and Model X. 


The front centre screen is now a 17-inch landscape display, instead of a 17-inch tall/portrait display. The resolution changes from 1900×1200 to 2200×1300. Apart from the existing 12.3″ driver display above the steering yoke, the manufacturer has added an 8-inch display at the rear for the occupants. The exciting news is that the buyers can swipe up for a drive, swipe down to reverse and tap for parking the vehicle.
