News Highlights

  • Tata Harrier Dark Edition is already on sale in India
  • Dark Edition and Camo Edition will be launched before festive season 2020

Tata Motors is planning to introduce 'Dark Edition' and 'Camo Edition' of several of its vehicles in the Indian market. The company recently filed for a trademark for the two aforementioned nameplates. It is believed that both the Dark Edition and Camo Edition would boast of a handful of cosmetic updates. Tata Harrier Dark Edition is already available in the country and the company is contemplating extension of this special edition version to the other vehicles such as Tigor, Tiago, Nexon, Altroz and the upcoming Gravitas 7-seater SUV.

Tata Harrier Dark Edition

Speaking about Tata Harrier Dark Edition, it is based on the XZ and XZ+ grades. The company has presented it in an Atlas Black color while it gets several black elements such as alloy wheels, door handles and front and rear skid plates. The SUV also gets a special 'Dark Edition' badge while the headlight surrounds are finished in grey. The black theme follows through the interior too as the cabin is finished in an all-black upholstery with gunmetal grey inserts. Most of the cabin elements such as the dashboard, door cards and leather seats are finished in black. We expect a similar pattern with the Black Edition of Tiago, Tigor, Nexon and Altroz when its launched.

As for the Camo Edition, there is not much known about it as of now but it can be expected to carry a few cosmetic updates like the Dark Edition. Meanwhile, besides the Dark and Camo Editions, Tata Motors is also working on a myriad of new products which includes the likes of Gravitas, HBX, Altroz turbo and all-electric. Tata Gravitas is a 7-seater SUV while HBX is a micro SUV which will be positioned below the Nexon and be Tata's entry-level SUV model. Tata Altroz turbo will be launched during Diwali this year in November while we have to wait around 9-12 months from now to get our hands on the all-electric version of Altroz which was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo in February.
