Tata Motors entry-level hatchback Tiago’s 3 Lakhth unit was rolled out of Sanand production facility in Gujarat

Tata Motors has rolled out the 3 Lakhth unit of Tiago out of its Sanand plant in Gujarat. Launched in 2016, Tata Tiago quickly became a roaring success due to the revolutionary design, performance and tech features. The mid-sized hatchback was the first product to be launched under the IMPACT design philosophy while it comprised of plenty of segment-first features at the time of its launch. With Tiago, the Indian automaker introduced the Revotron and Revotorq three-cylinder engines for the first time. Earlier this year, the BS6 compliant Tiago facelift was launched with a new cleaner engine plus cosmetic changes and new interior elements. The BS6 model was awarded 4-star adult safety by the Global NCAP (New Car Assessment Program). The 2020 Tata Tiago comes in six colour options - Flame Red, Pearlescent White, Victory Yellow, Pure Silver, Tectonic Blue and Daytona Grey.

The 2020 Tata Tiago didn’t get major design updates which one can easily observe by looking at the front profile which looks similar to the Altroz. At the front, one can spot a redesigned mesh grille with sleek headlights while the rear doesn’t sport any significant updates. Moving to the interior, the touchscreen system gets new updates while the flat-bottom steering wheel comes with inbuilt controls for managing the infotainment system. Tata Tiago interior gets new colour elements to attract young consumers. 

Talking about performance, The Tata Tiago houses the Revotron 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine. The car delivers 85 bhp of maximum power output and 113 Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties are taken care of by 5-speed manual and (AMT) automatic units. It is the safest car in its segment due to the presence of safety features like the Dual Air Bags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Corner Stability Control (CSC) & Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Rear Parking Assist. 

Tata Tiago price starts from Rs 4.69 Lakhs (ex-showroom, India) while the top-end variant retails at Rs 6.73 Lakhs  (ex-showroom, India).
