Tata Motors has made ABS as standard across all the variants of Tiago hatchback and Tigor compact sedan

Ahead of the new government safety regulations taking shape this year, all car and bike manufacturers are on their toes to equip their products with the mandatory features to comply with the new norms. One of them is Tata Motors. The Indian carmaker introduced the Tiago and Tigor initially with only the top variants getting ABS.

Now, all the variants of the Tiago and Tigor are equipped with ABS as standard. This will make both the hatchback and compact sedan twins safer and compliant with the new safety norms. However, Tata Motors has increased the pricing of the cars thanks to the addition of ABS. Both Tiago and Tigor are equipped with ABS since January 2019.

Along with ABS, the cars also get EBD and Cornering Stability Control. The Tiago and Tigor are equipped with the same petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre petrol Revotron produces 84 BHP of power and 114 Nm of torque. The 1.05-litre diesel Revotorq engine churns out 69 BHP of power and 140 Nm of torque.
