Tata Punch will be launched next month in India in the mini SUV segment

Tata Motors is gearing up for the launch of the all-new Punch micro SUV in the Indian market. Recently, the company released the official exterior images of the car, and now it has revealed the interior in a new video. Tata Punch will be launched next month in India in the mini SUV segment to take on the likes of Mahindra KUV100 and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. It will be positioned below the Nexon in Tata's portfolio as it is going to be the brand's new entry-level SUV. Just so you know, Tata Punch will be the fourth SUV in the brand's portfolio after Nexon, Harrier, and Safari.

Going by the interior image, Tata Punch will feature a semi-digital instrument cluster while loaded with bells and whistles such as automatic climate control with rectangular AC vents, chrome inside door handles, all power windows, power adjustable ORVMs, manual-dimming IRVM, and a flat-bottom steering wheel with multi-function controls. It will also have a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto while also acting as a navigation screen and rear parking camera. As far as safety features are concerned, we expect Tata Punch to boast of dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and height-adjustable seat belts for front seats as standard.

Tata Motors will introduce the Punch with a couple of petrol engine options. It will get a 1.2L naturally aspirated motor which is expected to deliver top power of 85 bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. The engine will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard while a 5-speed AMT gearbox will be available as an option. Sadly, there will be no diesel engine option for the buyers with the Punch. We have also learned that Tata might equip the range-topping variants of the micro SUV with a turbocharged version of the 1.2L engine which will belt out 108 bhp and 140 Nm. Tata Punch bookings have already begun unofficially at several company dealerships across the country.
