Tata Motors has silently launched the Nexon XZ+ (S) at a sticker price of Rs 10.10 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the Indian market. It is introduced in a total of four variants: XZ+ (S) Petrol, XZA+ (S) Petrol Automatic, XZ+ (S) Diesel and XZA+ (S) Diesel Automatic. Boasting of several new features, Tata Nexon XZ+ (S) is positioned between the XZ+ and the top-end XZ(O) grades.  The Nexon sub-compact SUV challenges the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300 in India.

The Nexon XZ+ (S) comes with a plethora of additional features over the XZ+ grade in the form of an electric sunroof, leather wrapped gear-knob and steering, tyre pressure monitor, auto headlamps and wipers and cruise control. A special mention goes to the Xpress cool function with the climate control system. Until now, the electric sunroof feature was exclusive with the XZ (O) trim. Though, Tata's connected car tech still remains exclusive with the flagship XZ (O) variants. Tata Nexon XZ+ (S) grade attracts a premium of nearly Rs 60,000 than the XZ+ trim however it is around Rs 30,000 less costlier than the range-topping XZ (O) trim. The addition of sunroof might ignite the sales of the Tata Nexon, believes the company.

Mechanically, Tata Nexon ZX+ (S) is powered by the same BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants get power from a 1.2L turbocharged Revotron engine while linked to both the 6-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. On the other hand, the diesel variants are powered by a 1.5L diesel engine which is also available with the option of 6-speed manual and an AMT unit. The bookings for the new variant has started from today and the deliveries can be expected in a week or so across all the company authorized dealerships in the country. Below is the Tata Nexon XZ+ (S) price (Ex. Showroom, India):

Tata Nexon XZ+ (S) Petrol - Rs 10.10 Lakhs
Tata Nexon XZA+ (S) Petrol Automatic - 10.70 Lakhs
Tata Nexon XZ+ (S) Diesel - 11.60 Lakhs
Tata Nexon XZA+ (S) Diesel Automatic - 12.20 Lakhs
