Tata Motors has delivered 10 units of Nexon EV to the Government of Gujarat. As per the tender agreement with EESL, these SUVs will be used by the senior Government officials associated with the Statue of Unity, located in Kevadiya, Gujarat. The handover ceremony took place in the presence of Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta -Additional Chief Secretary, Industries & Mines Dept & MD Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam, Government of Gujarat on India’s 75th Independence Day. The use of Tata Nexon EVs by the state officials reflect the 'clean and green environment' vision of Gujarat Government.

Kevadiya, home to the world’s tallest statue - The Statue of Unity - is all set to become India’s first e-vehicle-only area. Tata Motors is collaborating with the other companies in the Tata Group like Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance and Croma for faster adoption of EVs in India through its EV ecosystem called the “Tata uniEVerse”. Tata Nexon EV commands a scintillating market share of 70 percent in the all-electric SUV segment as it has already sold more than 6000 units in the Indian market. The SUV doesn't have a direct rival in the country due to its immensely aggressive pricing as other all-electric SUVs like Hyundai Kona and MG ZS are priced a notch higher.

Tata Nexon EV is offered in three trims namely XM, XZ+ and XZ+LUX in a price range of Rs 13.99-15.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Some of the notable features of the all-electric SUV includes a leather wrapped steering wheel, leatherette seats, fully automatic climate control, keyless entry and push button start among many others. The Harman 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto compatibility alongside the 35 Mobile Apps based connected features, ranging from remote commands, vehicle tracking to driving behavior analytics, navigation, and remote diagnostics. Being powered by a best-in-industry dust and waterproof IP67 rated 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, it delivers top power of 127 bhp.
