Tata Motors has reduced Nexon EV’s Monthly Subscription Fee for Delhi NCR region

To increase the electric vehicle adoption rate in India, Tata Motors introduced Nexon EV subscription service in August this year. The new monthly subscription charge now stands at Rs 29,500. This new update is valid for only the Delhi/NCR region only. The service charges here vary from city to city with the plan currently available in Bengaluru, Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad, Pune, and Mumbai. In the starting, the fully electric SUV was available with a subscription amount of Rs 41,900 per month for a 3-year tenure. Later, the price was dropped to Rs 34,900 in the month of September 2020. With the new pricing, Tata Nexon EV subscription plan has become more affordable for Indian customers.

The monthly subscription includes different service costs like insurance, 24/7 road assistance, free maintenance costs, regular servicing, and doorstep delivery. The homegrown manufacturer has tied up with Orix Auto Infrastructure Services Limited for the Nexon EV subscription scheme. Additionally, the Indian automaker is also installing EV charger at the customer’s residence or office as per their convenience. The permissible vehicle usage covers 18,000/24,000/30,000 Kms as per the requirement of the user. Once the subscription period ends, the customer can either extend it or return the vehicle to Tata Motors.

The Nexon EV continues to make waves in the Indian EV segment with over 2,000 units sold since its launch in January this year.  The electric SUV is powered by a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The EV delivers a power output of 129 bhp with 245 Nm of peak torque. If we look at the performance figures of its ICE sibling, Nexon EV packs a punch. Transmission onboard includes an automatic gearbox. It offers two driving modes namely Drive and Sport. The electric vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.9 seconds.
