Tata Motors launched the Nexon EV Max a few days back in the country at an introductory price of Rs 17.74 lakhs (ex-showroom). The price goes as high as Rs 19.24 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the range-topping variant. The SUV has garnered a lot of interest since its launch in the Indian market, especially among those customers who plan to upgrade from their standard Nexon EV. As per a media report, the waiting period for the Nexon EV Max is around 4 months. We can expect the deliveries to start by early June. Also, around 200 cars have been booked in Mumbai alone.
The electric SUV is offered in a total of three color options namely Intensi-Teal, Pristine White, and Daytona Grey. The dual-tone body color is offered as standard. The cabin of the Nexon EV Max boasts of an all-new Makarana beige interiors and a redesigned centre console. The feature highlight includes a jeweled control knob with an active mode display, leatherette seats with ventilation for front passengers, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless smartphone charging, air purifier, and cruise control.
The safety kit consists of Hill Hold, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Vehicle Hold, ESP with i-VBAC (intelligent – Vacuum-less Boost & Active Control), Hill Descent Control, and all 4-Disc brakes. Furthermore, the Nexon EV Max comes with three driving modes namely Eco, City, and Sport.
Performance-wise, Tata Nexon EV Max draws its power from a 40.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that further comes with an IP67 rating. The power and torque output stand at 143 bhp and 250 Nm respectively. Moving on, the vehicle delivers a driving range of 437 km (ARAI Certified). Besides this, the Nexon EV Max can accelerate from 0-100 kmph within 9 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 140 kmph. Talking about the charging options, the electric vehicle is available with a 3.3 kW charger and a 7.2 kW AC fast charger.
