Tata car models are well-known for their strong safety standards, with most vehicles receiving impressive safety ratings. Recently, both the Nexon EV 45 kWh and 30 kWh variants secured a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. The Nexon EV lineup comes equipped with outstanding safety features, which set it apart from other electric vehicles in the segment. The Tata Nexon EV prices in India range between INR 12.49 lakh and INR 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Nexon EV Safety Test Results

The Tata Nexon EV achieved a full 5-star rating in safety tests conducted by Bharat NCAP. Out of 32 points, the Nexon.ev secured 29.86 points for adult occupant protection. Meanwhile, for child occupant safety, it bagged 44.95 points out of 49. The CRS installation score of the SUV came 12/12, whereas the assessment score stood at 9/13.

When using child restraint systems in the dynamic test, the new Nexon EV models for COP received 23.95 out of 24 points. The dynamic score for the side protection of the 3-year-old and 18-month-old dummies was 4 out of 4. On the other hand, the 3-year-old dummy received full points in its tests, but the 18-month-old's front protection received a 7.95 out of 8 rating.

Tata Nexon EV Crash Data

The Nexon EV 45 kWh provides better protection for the neck, pelvis, feet, thighs, and head of both driver and passenger, and in the recently conducted frontal offset deformable barrier test, it turned out to be the winner for the same. In the side movable deformable barrier test, the front passenger’s neck, head, and torso showed better protection. However, the chest area displayed normal protection.
