News Highlights

  • Tata Motors sold a total of 6888 units of Nexon in October 2020
  • Tata Nexon is offered with two engine options
  • Tata Motors is offering freebies as a goodwill gesture to Nexon buyers for delayed deliveries
  • The rise in demand for Nexon has resulted in an increased waiting period

Tata’s one of the most capable SUV, the Nexon, has managed to carve a niche for itself among the buyers. The company sold a total of 6,888 units of the Nexon in October 2020. In comparison to October 2019, Tata Nexon has registered a whopping YoY growth of over 55 percent. This has further lead to an increase in demand for the compact SUV, thereby affecting the waiting period. This has in turn affected the delivery date for those who’ve already booked the vehicle.

As a damage control measure and to ensure that the customers do not cancel their bookings, Tata Motors is offering one year of extended OE warranty and roadside assistance for the Nexon buyers. This is applicable to only those buyers who have been waiting for their Nexon for more than a month. Apart from this, the company is also contacting the customers directly via text messages to inform them about the rewards that they will be getting for their patience.

Recently, one of the Nexon buyers shared a message on social media that he received from Tata Motors for the delay in his Nexon delivery. There are other brands as well who have pacified their upset customers by sending attractive offers. Mahindra had recently sent a box of chocolates along with a letter to one of its Thar buyers who witnessed a significant delay in delivery due to high demand.

Under the bonnet, Tata Nexon is offered with two engine options. There is a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit that generates a maximum power of 120 bhp and a peak torque of 170 Nm. The 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, on the other hand, dishes out 110 bhp power and 260 Nm torque. Both the engines are offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
