Tata Motors has launched the XTA+ variant of the Harrier and the Safari in the Indian market. Tata Harrier XTA+ is priced at Rs 19.14 Lakhs while Tata Harrier XTA+ Dark price starts at Rs 19.34 Lakhs followed by Tata Safari XTA+ which comes at a price point of Rs 20.08 Lakhs (All the prices are Ex. Showroom, Delhi). The new variant boasts of a 6-speed automatic transmission and a panoramic sunroof as standard. For those asking, the Harrier and Safari have a collective market share of 41.2 percent (as of Q1 FY22) in the SUV segment.
The new XTA+ variants come loaded with a plethora of features in the form of projector headlamps, dual function LED DRLS, 17-inch alloy wheels, floating island 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple Car Play connectivity, 8 Speakers (4 Speakers + 4 Tweeters), push button start, fully automatic temperature control, reverse parking camera, auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers. Furthermore, the Safari XTA+ also gets iRA connected car features, mood lighting, cruise control and tyre pressure monitoring system as standard. As for the safety of occupants, they come equipped with dual front airbags, ESP, fog lamps & reverse parking camera.
Being based on the OMEGARC architecture which itself is derived from Land Rover's D8 platform, Tata Safari XTA+ and Tata Harrier XTA+ are powered by the same 2.0L 4-cylinder Kryotech diesel engine with identical power output and torque delivery as the standard model. The engine is linked to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
