India's leading SUV manufacturer, Tata Motors, has started delivering the Curvv EV to customers. The Tata Curvv Coupe EV was rolled out in the Indian market on August 7, 2024. The very first Tata Curvv electric coupe was recently delivered to P.R. Sreejesh, the famous Indian hockey player and Olympic bronze medal winner. P.R. Sreejesh brought glory to the Indian hockey team at the 2024 Paris Olympics by bringing home a bronze medal. The auto giant recently posted on its social media handle and disclosed this news.
During the inauguration of Tata Motors’ electric showroom in Kochi, the company honored P.R. Sreejesh with an all-new Curvv EV. The electric coupe SUV is considered the complete package; it is loaded with advanced safety features and a robust electric motor. Tata Motors offers the Curvv EV at a starting price of INR 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Curvv EV Features
Inside, the Tata Curvv electric SUV is packed with convenience features like a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging, electronic parking brake, 9 speakers, illuminated steering, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a 10.2-inch screen for the instrument cluster.
The Curvv EV is loaded with safety amenities like Acoustic Vehicle Alert System (AVAS), six airbags, an electronic parking brake, hill-start assist control, blind spot monitoring, and a driver drowsiness alert system. It is also packed with Level 2 ADAS features like lane assist, adaptive cruise control, departure and change alerts, traffic sign recognition, and automatic emergency braking.
Tata Curvv EV Powertrain
The recently launched Tata Curvv EV comes equipped with the brand’s Gen 2 PMSM motor, which is being offered with two battery sets: a 45 kWh and a 55 kWh. Both variants can generate a peak torque of 215 Nm. For better comfort and practicality, the SUV boasts a 500-litre boot space, which is the largest in its segment.
P.R. Sreejesh has received the Currv EV top model, which comes in the Virtual Sunrise shade. The Empowered +A houses a 55-kWh battery pack. As per the MIDC tests, the Curvv EV 55 kWh can go to 502 km. The high-end variant can churn out a power of 165 bhp and a peak torque of 215 Nm.
The base model, on the other hand, is packed with a 45-kWh battery that generates a maximum power of 147 bhp and 215 Nm of torque. The Tata Curvv EV has various driving modes, including Eco, Sport, City, and four regenerative braking settings. Through a 70 kW DC charger, the 55-kWh version can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 40 minutes.
