Earlier this year, Tata Motors launched the BS6 Altroz in the Indian market. Currently the hatchback is priced in the range of Rs 5.44 lakhs to Rs 9.09 lakhs (ex-showroom), New Delhi. Tata Altroz offers two powertrains - a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, Revotron petrol and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged Revotorq diesel. Now the internet has gone into a frenzy due to another set of spyshots which have just appeared online of the Altroz Turbo Petrol. Expected to arrive this feative season, these set of new images highlight couple of updates that would be available with this model.
First thing to notice out here is that the Altroz Turbo Petrol could get a new colour scheme. The overall design would remain more or less the same as before. Though there are minor tweaks like a different set of alloy wheels and silver finish given to OVRM's. If you remember in one of its previous spy shots, the premium hatch featured a Turbo badge but in these recent images it has been given a miss.
Talking about the performance, the upcoming Tata Altroz Turbo Petrol features a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre engine that will deliver a maximum power output 108 bhp. The engine will reportedly deliver 8 bhp more than what was earlier being claimed. As for transmission duties one can expect the presence of a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It is still not clear whether or not a manual stick will be in the offering on this particular model.
