Tata Altroz Teaser Leaks Online, Glimpses Dashboard

After updating their website with a few photos, now the Indian company Tata Motors has gone ahead and prepared a new teaser of their upcoming Altroz premium hatchback. The launch of the Altroz hatchback is supposed to take place soon. Meanwhile, the new teaser from the brand shows the interiors of the car, dashboard to be precise. This teaser was leaked online and has not been released in an official capacity by the brand. The teaser states that the bookings for the car have started, which hints that the launch will also take place sometime soon. Upon launch, Tata Altroz will take on likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Toyota Glanza and Hyundai Elite i20 in the Indian market. Altroz was first showcased as the 45X concept at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo, and the brand also presented an almost production version of it at the Geneva Motor Show 2019.

The launch of Altroz will mark Tata Motors’ entry into the premium hatchback segment for the first time. Just like every other segment, here too, the company will aim at undercutting the rivals and bringing good features to the car in order to make a name for itself in the market. Talking of the teaser that has leaked online, there is a floating type touchscreen infotainment system mounted on the dashboard of the Altroz. The teaser shots also show that the upcoming Altroz will come with a flat bottom steering and a digital instrument cluster.

Altroz’s interiors are properly equipped and as per the company, the infotainment unit will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from the usual control, the dashboard carries a pretty clutter free look. As per the norms of the segment, the steering has buttons with the usual array of controls. Tata will debut the ALFA ARC platform with Altroz, which in turn will make this upcoming premium hatchback shed a lot of weight. The same platform will also be seen on the upcoming H2X from the brand. As per the trend witnessed lately in Tata’s new vehicles, Altroz too seems like a car from the future and it will be based on the IMPACT 2.0 design of brand.

The engine details of Altroz have not been disclosed by Tata, but it may carry the same petrol unit that is being offered with Tiago. On the other hand, diesel mill could be the same one that one finds on Nexon. Looking at the rivals in the segment Tata will probably offer manual as well as automatic gearboxes on Altroz. Talking of safety, Tata will likely offer 4 airbags on top model of Altroz. Keeping in view the upcoming BNVSAP, while the lower models will get 2 airbags only, the top model will have 4 airbags as standard.
