Tata Altroz iTurbo has been unveiled in India. The price for the hatchback will be announced on January 22, 2021.

Tata Motors has finally unveiled the much-anticipated Altroz iTurbo today in the country. It is one of the fastest hatchbacks in Tata Motors’s product lineup. Official bookings will open from tomorrow onwards at a token amount of Rs 11,000. Interested buyers can directly go to the nearest dealership to get the bookings done. The price of the hatchback will be announced on January 22, 2021. 




The 2021 Altroz iTurbo will come in a total of 3 variants - XT, XZ, and XZ+. In terms of design, the Altroz iTurbo is almost identical to the current Altroz on sale in the country. However, it features a ‘iTurbo’ badge on the tailgate. Besides these, the other notable update that the model gets is the new Harbor Blue paint scheme. This new colour option is offered from the XM+ trim and above. Upfront, the hatchback features the same glossy black grille. In addition, it offers swept-back projector headlamps with LED DRLs, large fog lamps, and a wide air dam. Furthermore, it will continue to feature an optional black roof and black styling elements towards the rear. 




Talking about the cabin of the Altroz iTurbo, it boasts of a light grey colour scheme. Tata has further equipped it with a plethora of features. These include an AC unit with Xpress cool feature, 3-word navigation function, height-adjustable driver seat, a rear-seat armrest, a rear power outlet, straight up power windows, voice tech that responds to over 70 commands, push-button start-stop with smart key, Harman sourced surround sound system with two additional tweeters and cruise control. The 17-inch infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto compatibility comes with new Doodle personalized wallpaper settings. Furthermore, the hatchback is offered with the company’s new Intelligent Real-time Assist (IRA) connected car technology with remote access. The IRA technology offers a range of connected functions. On the safety front, it gets ABS with EBD, corner stability control, anti-glare IRVM, and dual front airbags. Tata additionally offers 6 custom packs with the Altroz iTurbo.




Performance-wise, the 2021 Altroz iTurbo gets a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The motor churns out 108 bhp power @5500 rpm and 140 Nm torque @1500-5000 rpm while being linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. With this new engine, the Altroz iTurbo can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 11.9 secs. The company claims that the hatchback offers a fuel-efficiency figure of 18.13 kmpl.
