Today, Tata Altroz iTurbo has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom). While the top-end trim retails at a price tag of Rs 8.85 lakh (ex-showroom), India. The homegrown manufacturer is celebrating the first Anniversary of Altroz with the launch of the iTurbo variant. The new Tata Altroz iTurbo model comes with a turbocharged petrol engine and host of segment-first features. With the new model, Tata Altroz iTurbo will compete against rivals like the New-Generation Hyundai i20 Turbo, Volkswagen Polo GT and Maruti Baleno RS in the domestic market. It is the most affordable turbo-petrol premium hatchback model on sale in the country right now.
Bookings for the car have opened at a token amount of Rs 11,000 with test drives being made available to perspective buyers. Tata Altroz iTurbo is available in 3 variants namely XT, XZ and XZ+. It is just Rs 60,000 more expensive than the naturally-aspirated variant of the Altroz currently on sale in the country.
The Altroz i-Turbo comes in an all-new exclusive - Harbour Blue colour. The other colour options available with the hot hatch are High Street Gold, Midtown Grey, Downtown Red and Avenue White. These just mentioned paint shades are available on the standard variants as well. Tata Altroz iTurbo comes loaded with 27 connected car features along with natural voice tech.
The eye-catching point is that the hatchback understands commands not only in English, Hindi, but also Hinglish. Additionally, it becomes India’s first hatchback to introduce What3Words technology to make navigation easier for the customers. Enhancing the premium look is the presence of new Black and light Grey interiors accentuated with perforated leatherette seats. Other equipment list on-board include Xpress cool feature, personalised screen wallpaper, one shot up power windows and an 8 speaker sound system by Harman.

Tata Altroz iTurbo is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged engine. The hatchback delivers 108.495 bhp of maximum power output @5500 rpm and 140 Nm of peak torque @1500-5500 rpm. The engine is paired only to a 5-speed manual transmission unit. It offers two Driving Modes namely Sport and City for the convenience of the driver.
