Tata Motors has launched the Altroz Dark Edition at a starting price of Rs 8.71 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. Being based on the top XZ+ trim, it is available with 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2L i-Turbo petrol engines. Tata Altroz Dark Edition comes with black elements at the outside as well as inside the cabin while mechanically it remains the same as the standard model. The Dark Edition is now available at dealerships and is open for bookings. All Tata Motors authorised dealerships are decorated in the Dark theme for customers to indulge into this exclusive experience.

Speaking of the Altroz Dark Edition, it comes painted in a Cosmo Dark exterior body colour. The hatch rides on 16-inch alloy wheels which get Dark tint finish. It also boasts of Dark Chrome across the hood and a Dark mascot. The cabin is offered in an all Granite Black upholstery with a Metallic Gloss Black Mid-pad. Moreover, the Altroz Dark Edition features premium leatherette seats with tri-arrow perforations and blue deco stitch. The front headrest comes in an exclusive Dark embroidery. It carries over several bells and whistles from the XZ+ variant in the form of cruise control, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, Xpress Cool, rear AC vents, FATC, PEPS, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, steering mounted controls and Harman touchscreen infotainment system with iRA connected car features.


Mechanically, Tata Altroz Dark Edition comes with the same petrol engines as the regular models. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.2L Revotron engine which develops top power of 85 bhp at 3000 rpm and peak torque of 113 Nm at 3300 rpm. There is also a 1.2L turbocharged i-Turbo engine on offer which dishes out 108 bhp at 5500 rpm and 140 Nm between 1500-5500 rpm. The company has also introduced a puncture kit with the Altroz Dark Edition to provide additional safety and convenience to the customers. Furthermore, Tata has rolled out exclusive Dark apparels in the form of T-shirts with the Altroz Dark Edition for promotional purposes. Tata Altroz is the only hatchback in the country with a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP.
