Suzuki celebrates its seventh world title in the premier class of the World Championship

Suzuki has currently won the seventh world title in the premier class of the World Championship, all thanks to Joan Mir, 2020 MotoGP Champion. To celebrate this, the automaker has introduced a limited edition of the Swift Sport hybrid. It is priced at Euros 20,900 (Rs 18.44 lakhs). This special edition of the sporty hatch is just limited to seven units. Furthermore, it will not be sold in India.

In terms of design, the special edition of Swift gets a sporty look. Notable design bits include a sporty diffuser plate with dual exhausts and 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The sporty hatchback gets an exclusive color scheme that is inspired by the Anniversary livery of the official Ecstar Team GSX-RR. The body shell is painted in metallic blue while a contrasting black finish is seen on the pillars and roofline. In addition, there are three racing strips that extend lengthwise from the front edge of the bumper to the tailgate. The decal on the bonnet features the company’s branding.

Inside the cabin of the sporty hatchback, there is accent molding on the door panels, transmission tunnel, and center console. The front of the dash along with the driver and passenger armrest are fluorescent yellow in color. Furthermore, the dashboard has a limited edition unit number and an autograph of Joan Mir, the rider who won the seventh world title for Suzuki.

Performance-wise, the global-spec Swift Sport Hybrid is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine which is paired to a 48V mild-hybrid setup. The powertrain churns out a maximum power of 129 bhp with an extra 13 bhp more from a small starter motor and generator. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox only. Furthermore, it is claimed to clock a top speed of 210 kmph.
