Skoda Vision IN Concept had debuted at the 2020 Auto Expo amidst much fanfare and under the company's new India 2.0 strategy. Now, our friends at IAB have acquired the patent images of the Vision IN SUV, which is expected to launch in the second quarter (April-June) of 2021 in the Indian market. The new images give the most clear look of the SUV while it will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, MG Hector and Tata Harrier in India. Skoda Vision IN price is expected to start at Rs 10 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
Skoda Vision IN has different styling than Skoda Kamiq despite underpinning the refreshed version of Kamiq's architecture. The Vision IN is based on the MQB A0 IN platform which has been derived from Kamiq's MQB A0 unit. The company has done some improvements with cost cutting in this architecture to lend the Vision IN SUV a rugged exterior styling. It will have higher ground clearance with large LED headlamps and air intakes, and a forward slanted radiator front grille. Further, a black body cladding has been offered all around the body. The Concept had 19-inch alloy wheels but the production-ready model is expected to ride on 17-inch wheels. The wheelbase stands at 2671mm, which indicates ample legroom even for the rear seat occupants.

Inside the cabin, Skoda Vision IN will boast of several bells and whistles in the form of panoramic sunroof, LED ambient light, 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster, 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Connected Car tech. The company might offer six airbags as standard besides ABS, EBD and VSC. Mechanically, the SUV is likely to be offered with two engine-transmission setups: 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged TSI with a 6-speed manual and 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged TSI EVO with a 7-speed DCT automatic unit. The former will develop top power of 108bhp and peak torque of 175Nm while the latter will generate maximum power of 147bhp and highest torque of 250Nm. There won't be an all-wheel-drive system on offer even as option with the Vision IN SUV.
